Description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the United States Space Force (USSF) Director of Staff Security Office (SF/DSZ).

The DSZ is responsible for providing administration and management of the collateral security program, personnel activities relating to the Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Program and Special Access Program (SAP) security for United States Space Force (USSF) Field command and the Space Staff.

DSZ works with USSF Field Activities, Direct Reporting Units (DRUs) to improve security education, awareness, and processes to reduce incidents and spillages.

The DSZ staff also evaluates and enforces security discipline effectively to eliminate deficiencies, to contain spillages and investigate infractions and violations in accordance with DoD Guidance.

Contract support assist with enabling USSF to meet all physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, information system security, COMSEC, and security training requirements to ensure information is protected and safeguarded in accordance with DoD instructions.

What you'll be doing:


  • Coordinate software and hardware changes / problem resolution, account access, data transfers, scanning, and copying data to/from external media.
  • Investigate security incidents, conducting risk analyses, and preparing written reports that identify contributing factors and specify preventive action.
  • Prepare and process initial and reaccreditation facility requests.
  • Conduct Security Assessment Visits on behalf of USSF SSO to all subordinate and cognizant organizations.
  • Assist with cognizant security authority in all security tasks, directorate facility security requirements and conduct all tasks to ensure security compliance.
  • Manage appropriate records of annual selfinspections, security refresher training, combination changes, external facilities locations, accreditations, indoctrinations, inspections/staff assistance visits, and closeout information.
  • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks. Support integration of Cyber capabilities with other DoD Services and other federal agencies/organizations required to implement national strategy, policy, and guidance.

What you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of security management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP/SCI security requirements.
  • Knowledge of Foreign travel requirements
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Security+ Certification required.
