    Responsibilities


    •Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools.


    •Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste, and cost reductions.


    •Lead, teach, and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.


    •Continuously improve processes both on production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions and departments


    •Conduct detailed analysis that accurately describes the situation and opportunities for improvement, accurately analyzing options including impact and feasibility.


    •Identify available resources (people, material, finances)


    •Monitor implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.


    •Resolve technical problems such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation, and resource availability.


    •Provide support to production team, ensuring implemented Lean principles are understood.


    •Leading Kaizen events


    •Work in collaboration with the technical, maintenance and operation departments, supervisors, and managers to implement solutions for processes and quality improvements focused on Reduction of the cost of quality, reduction of rework, downtime, and waste.


    •Review data and records; identifying the 7 Bigs Wastes (Overproduction, Inventory, Defects, Motion, Over-processing, Waiting and Transportation) and develop ways to correct.


    •Monitor the quality, accuracy and effectiveness of Shop Floor Data entry and reporting.


    •Active participation on the OS&H, SQF and Quality programs and projects


    •Analyze workflows, work areas, and perform time studies.


    •Preparation of SOPs, OPLs

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience


    •Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field


    •Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position


    •Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification


    •Technical Diploma or associate degree with 5-7 years' experience in Process Improvement/Quality


    •Manufacturing experience required.


    •Experience in a packaging plant desired
