The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$61,154- $67,421
starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $79,510
is available through annual performance increases.

  • Job Summary
    Mandate:


Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Projects and Communications, the Communications and Projects Coordinator for Learning and Teaching Support and Innovation (LTSI) role is to support communications coordination and develop resources for learning and teaching at the University.

This role plays a pivotal part in the planning, communicating, and disseminating of information and digital content, fostering an engaging educational environment through web development, as well as assisting with events coordination and project support as needed.

By effectively managing digital and print communication channels, this position significantly contributes to the promotion and achievement of LTSI's mission, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive learning experience for the university community.


Objectives:


In consultation with the Manager, Strategic Projects and Communications, the Communications and Projects Coordinator will be responsible for updating website and other digital resources as well as developing content for communicating and promoting LTSI programming to students, faculty, instructors, and staff.


  • Job RequirementsThis position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, Writing, Journalism, Media Studies or equivalent, as well as two years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment.
  • Experience creating and editing briefing notes, print and multimedia materials, reports, and other documents for various audiences.
  • Experience with event planning and coordination.
  • Experience working with various social media platforms and websites and how each network can be optimally applied in different scenarios.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and use data from surveys and program statistics to inform decisions and strategies.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and tailor communication style for different audiences and situations.
  • Experience in maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and web design are an asset.
