About the position
Reporting to Director Customer Service and Supply Chain Operations, the Compliance Customs Specialist will act as an expert in trade regulations and customs compliance and assist with trade activities to import and export shipments.

What you'll do:
- Facilitate order compliance, order fulfilment and coordinate with logistics providers to import and export product timely and prepare accurate documentation and regulatory reporting.
- Act as a resource in the development and implementation of transborder processes
- Act as the pointperson for general inquiries on customs issues and/or processes
- Assist with the investigation of problem shipments and/or set up special handling requirements for unusual shipments
- Build and sustain longterm, vendor, and service provider partnerships
- Assist with the development of logistics strategies
- Assist with broker management
- Undertake other duties as required
What we would like from you:
- Must have a University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (such as: supply chain/logistics, international trade or economics) with a minimum of three (3) years of experience importing products, preferably chemical products
- Experience with Canadian HS Classification
- Canadian CCS Certification would be considered a strong asset
- Must be detailoriented and pay close attention to accuracy
- Must have strong problemsolving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must have strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset
