Floor Technician - Halifax, Canada - Banks Cleaning and Maintenance Ltd

Description

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial buildings
• Must know how to strip and wax floors, operate stripping machines
• Clean and sanitize floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
• Strip, wax, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and chemicals
• Move furniture and equipment as needed to facilitate cleaning
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction with services provided
• Adhere to established cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks effectively

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks for extended periods of time
• Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in floor maintenance
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
