Restaurant Staff

Dairy Queen is seeking a full-time Restaurant Staff to join our team in Nanaimo, BC.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with daily food and beverage service, including cleaning, stocking, opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Prepare food and beverages for service (e.g. cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)
  • Resolve guest issues (complaints, questions, etc.)
  • Check level of service and monitor food safety
  • Keep the restaurant area clean and sanitized at all times
  • Maintain contact with health code regulations (e.g. wearing a mask when working in the restaurant, keeping the kitchen area clean)
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma GED required; college degree preferred
  • Previous experience in restaurant management or other restaurant management roles preferred
  • Flexibility in work schedule; must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Proven experience as restaurant staff member at least one year minimum in the past or can provide evidence of being trained on health code regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with all levels of management and staff members

Pay:
$19.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Experience:


  • Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
