    Responsibilities

    • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of Gray Collection's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all training programs and SOPs are accessible and up to date.
    • Design and deliver engaging training programs and materials focused on hospitality, service excellence, operational standards, and compliance.
    • Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops for new hires and existing team members, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
    • Prepare quarterly reports to management based on annual training plans, while tracking training budget.
    • Teach SMEs (subject matter experts) specific skills, ability, knowledge, and content to become effective training champions to train other employees.

    Compliance & Standards

    • Monitor adherence to SOPs and compliance protocols across properties, conducting audits and reporting findings.
    • Act as a change champion by promoting Gray Collection's culture and values while supporting adoption of new practices.
    • Monitor and evaluate the success of training programs using metrics, training records, participant feedback, and performance appraisals to make continuous improvements to the curriculum.

    Operational Support

    • Support Gray Collection recognition programs by tying in training programs that celebrate hospitality excellence and compliance achievements.
    • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in hospitality training and compliance.
    • Partner with external training providers, manage vendor relationships, and maintain training budgets.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality training, learning & development, or compliance management.
    • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
    • Experience in instructional design and LMS administration.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and digital learning platforms.
    • Knowledge of hospitality compliance standards and operational best practices.
    • Bilingual (French/English) to support teams in Montreal and Ottawa.

    Core competencies

    • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.
    • Experience in coaching and performance improvement within hospitality environments.
    • Strong public speaker
    • Familiarity with seasonal business operations and ramp-up strategies.
    • Adaptability: Comfortable managing complexity in a fast-paced, multi-entity hospitality environment.
