    Job Summary:

    Teledyne FLIR is seeking an Electronic Technician to join our Engineering team in the Laval, Quebec office.

    As a member of the hardware team, you will assist hardware, RF and System engineers in developing, prototyping, characterizing, and troubleshooting various components and subsystems of our radars.

    You will also participate in hardware and radar system validations on our different radar models, whether in the engineering lab, anechoic chamber, environmental chamber or at an outdoor test site.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build test setups and conduct radar tests outdoor.
  • Build test jigs and cables.
  • Document Engineering schematics, parts lists, and configurations
  • Perform electronic repairs, modifications, and measurements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems using schematics.
  • Performs work in accordance with quality and engineering standards
  • Complete any other work-related task as directed by supervisor
  • Job Qualifications:

  • College degree in electronics or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a technician role
  • Knowledge of current technologies in electrical circuits, RF and small pitch components packages
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Good Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a small business environment is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and SAP.
  • Working knowledge of French and English
