JOB SUMMARY

The Raffle Licensing Specialist helps ensure that charitable organizations can run successful and compliant raffle events by reviewing applications, processing amendments, and providing knowledgeable guidance to the public. If you enjoy analyzing information, applying policy, and making well‑reasoned decisions in a dynamic environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Raffle & Charitable Gaming Proceeds, you will:

  • Review and process raffle licence applications to ensure they meet legislative and policy requirements.
  • Manage incoming licence amendments and respond to a high volume of public inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
  • Interpret and apply charitable gaming policies, Terms & Conditions, and related legislation.
  • Make independent, evidence‑based decisions, especially in situations where processes or policies may be new or evolving.
  • Support consistency, transparency, and integrity in Alberta's charitable gaming model.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A high school diploma; post‑secondary education is an asset.
  • 3+ years of administrative or office experience.
  • Experience interpreting or applying policy, regulations, or detailed guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze information, interpret documents (such as agreements or budgets), and make balanced, independent decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle complex inquiries while managing workload effectively.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
