Description

Metal Action Machining has an opening for a CNC Machinist Apprentice. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a master machinist to complete their Red Seal.

You will be working with various types of CNC machines including vertical, horizontal and 5-axis milling machines as well as manual machines such as lathes, cutting machines, knee mills, tapping machines and more.

The is also the possibility to learn how to program the CNC machines using Mastercam, so training or experience with this program is an asset.

Duties will range from loading and operating the CNC machines, various manual machining and finishing operations as well as basic shop duties such as cleaning and maintenance.

The work environment is clean, well lighted and air conditioned, close to the Surrey/Delta border on 82ndAvenue.

The successful applicant will have completed the BCIT Machinist Technician Leve1 1 or 2 course or equivalent and have at least one year of relevant machine shop experience.
