Architectural Technology - NAIT

A major focus will be on:

  • Architectural Construction Documents (ARCT1201)
  • Building Technologies: Interior Construction (ARCT2411)
  • Presentation Technology (ENDS1140)
  • Introduction to Revit (ENDS1230)
  • 3D Modeling Applications (ENDS1250)
  • Advanced Revit (ENDS2430)
  • Facilities Planning and Product Representation (ENDS2540)
  • Urban Sketching (ENDS2561)
  • Commercial Construction Documents (INDT2401)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and present classes to students in a variety of modalities
  • Prepare, administer, and grade all course materials
  • Organize and supervise practical assignments
  • Utilize appropriate educational technology for communications and presentations
  • Maintain professional ethical relationships with students and colleagues, respond professionally to student issues and concerns
  • Maintain student attendance and other documentation as required
  • Maintain regular contact with relevant industries and program related organizations
Teaching assignments may include any course in the Architectural Technology curriculum.


Qualifications:


  • A diploma in Architectural Technology. A degree would be of benefit.
  • Eligibility for membership or affiliate membership in the appropriate professional organization would be a benefit
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit, Photoshop, and other graphics rendering software
  • Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • A high level of independence is required

Remuneration:
$99/SIH. (Instructor A).

  • This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement_
