Dryland Program Leader 1
Join our team as a Dryland Program Leader 1 and lead programs, services, and special events with passion and dedication. As a key member of our team, you will provide supervision and support to dryland staff and participants in the gymnasium, arena, day camps and dryland programs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support dryland staff and participants in various programs and events.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all participants.
- Lead by example and demonstrate high levels of verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of our community.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all participants and staff.
- Meet the physical demands of the job, including minor lifting and working in noisy conditions.
- Work effectively in stressful conditions and deal with conflict situations in a professional manner.
- Hold a valid Alberta Driver's License and have a strong commitment to the City's Cornerstone Values.
- NCCP Competition Stream trained (formerly NCCP Level 1) or one year experience in a recreation/leisure environment providing program support.
- Intermediate First Aid certification.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Possession of a valid Alberta Driver's License.
- Commitment to the City's Cornerstone Values.
- Ability to do minor lifting.
- Ability to work in noisy conditions.
- Ability to work in stressful conditions and deal with conflict situations.
Benefits
As a Dryland Program Leader 1, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $26.68 to $28.08 per hour, working 40 hours biweekly as scheduled. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer service.
