    About the Role

  • Code, deploy, and maintain large-scale, fault-tolerant systems using Kubernetes and Workday's cloud technology stack
  • Build self-service tooling that empowers application developers to interact with production environments
  • Participate in paid on-call rotation and respond to production incidents: triage, fix, and resolution. Retro and act on incidents to continually improve our systems and processes
  • Improve operational efficiency to help scale the team by automating where possible
  • Work closely with engineering teams in Canada and the United States to build next generation services and platforms for Workday

    Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of devops, SRE, or software development experience
  • 2+ years building services and tooling in one or multiple software languages (e.g., Go, Python, Ruby or Java)
  • 2+ years of debugging and optimizing systems and code
  • Other Qualifications

  • Automating deployment, scaling, and management of applications
  • Experience with immutable configuration as code
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Experience with code reviews, giving and receiving feedback with peers
  • Experience participating in an on-call rotation
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
