Large Transportation, LTL Cross-dock Facility
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and implement QMS procedures and processes; Ensure the maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS, including writing and revising SOPs, work instructions, templates and forms to be compliant with ISO
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 ,safety regulations and SOPs
- Provide managerial oversight and guidance to OS&D and Quality teams and regulatory communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Supervise and ensure Quarterly training to staff and monitor the effectiveness of the training; Ensure that all employees are familiar with, trained on, and follow all QMS procedures related to their jobs which can affect our quality of service.
- Ensure that training records are tracked and updated
- Manage and Control forklift fleet and Scanning guns, repairs, budgeting, cost control, keys, shock watch system
- Oversee and control CARs and PARs
- Oversee freight investigations via AS400, paper trail, camera checks and other research
- Head monthly quality meetings
- Responsible for service watch boards updates throughout the building, as well as KPI Boards
- Responsible for the collection of audit information required to prepare reports and provide consultation in all compliance issues.
- Ensure that there is follow up for Corrective Action plans and implement all internal assurance audits
- Participate in 3rd party internal and external audits and inspection activities.
- Work with the Site Manager to maintain and improve system to promote compliance, quality and safety.
- Establish and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual reporting of statistical data pertaining to safety, quality and compliance systems as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of five (5) year's experience in the transportation industry in a Supervisory role and/or a college diploma in transportation or business;
- Minimum 5 years of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems management experience and regulatory filings
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules and regulations;
- Leadership and/or management skills, able to multitask and a team player
- Excellent communication skills; organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently;
- Lead by example philosophy;
- Knowledge of OS&D and the claims process and Forklift Operation
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure KPI's are met
- Good understanding of Root Cause analysis and familiarity with the CAPA process ( Corrective Action Preventive Action)
Nice to have:
- Certificates for ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor training/overview
- Certification in a regulatory or quality discipline
