As a District Loss Prevention Manager (DLPM), you will be responsible for the execution of Sephora Loss Prevention programs to protect the company's property, people, and brand, while maintaining the district goals for shrink.


  • Develop, implement, and execute effective loss prevention strategies to reduce shrink, paying special attention to the High Shrink stores.
  • Analyze loss prevention activities and shrink performance to identify areas in need of improvement. Partner with store and Field Leadership Teams to identify and resolve shrink problems with appropriate action plans.
  • Administer and implement store evaluations (OPEX) and LP Programs.
  • Deliver training to employees and leadership teams on shrink and loss prevention, including methods to deter and handle shoplifting and internal theft.
  • Ensure store compliance, by management and employees, with all loss prevention and operational procedures established to protect company assets.
  • Investigate all discrepancies, indications of dishonesty, fraud or criminal acts, in accordance with established procedures. Utilize exceptionbased reporting system to cultivate cases.
  • Interview internal employees and obtain admissions based on company guidelines. Where appropriate, develop investigative cases with a view to criminal prosecution.
  • Directly responsible to ensure that all store loss prevention systems and programs are fully operational, being regularly maintained, and properly utilized, including CCTV, alarms, locks, etc.
  • Hire, manage and develop a team of Loss Prevention Agents and Area Loss Prevention Investigators.
  • Partner with appropriate teams in the smooth execution of Perpetual Inventories as they happen in stores yearly or biyearly.
  • Complete deep dives for every store after inventory posts to paint a clear picture of their shrink with plans to decrease shrink year over year.
  • Build effective liaison relationships with police departments, mall security and mall management teams.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Minimum 3 years of assets protection/loss prevention experience in multiunit retail environments.
  • Wicklander-Zulawski certification is a requirement.
  • Strong management/leadership skills needed to effectively liaise with store management and employees, and other crossfunctional teams.
  • Track record of dealing with sensitive loss prevention issues in an ethical manner and demonstrating a commitment towards proactive loss prevention and teambuilding.
  • Understanding of criminal and civil law as it applies to the retail environment.
  • Strong communication; written, verbal, interviewing and listening skills.
  • Excellent organization, analytical and auditing skills.
  • Ability to develop plans, policies or procedures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to travel routinely within assigned regions. Travel requirement is approximately 80% of the job and includes local and out of town travel locations.
  • Able to work in a fragrance filled environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
