What does the role involve?
Day to day, you'll report to National Technical Manager, Roofing, concerning progress, issues, problems, project needs. The primary function of this position will be

  • Support sales services
  • Provide technical support to the roofing target market of Sika Canada Inc.
  • Promote the technical expertise of Sika Roofing in the market place

Compensation:
$65,000 (starting range) + commission + bonus (Please ask the Recruiter for the details regarding sales commission and bonus)


Tasks:


  • Training of applicators to properly and efficiently install Sika roofing systems in an effort to ensure quality and contractor profitability. Provide training to others as needed.
  • Conduct final inspections for technical acceptance for warranty issuance.
  • Act as the liaison between the applicator, general contractor, consultant, architect, building owner, and Sika during the installation process.
  • Advise the National Technical Manager, Roofing concerning progress, issues, problems, project needs.
  • Assist sales and others with prejob meetings, roof surveys, and warranty claim issues.
  • Follow up on leak and warranty claim calls, and complete necessary repairs as needed.
  • Inspection of existing Sika roofs for warranty transfers, warranty expansions, and annual inspections.
  • Participate in job meetings with contractors, architects, building owners, Sika sales personnel and applicators.
  • Meet with maintenance staff and or building owners to review maintenance items.
  • Support Sales, Marketing, and Technical departments with miscellaneous items as needed including, but not limited to, trade shows, models, field tests, roof tours, etc.
  • Perform other related tasks as requested by the National Technical Manager.

Qualifications What you need is**:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the roofing industry.
  • Technical knowledge of low slope commercial roofing system installation.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Must be persuasive, customer focused and a team player.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
  • Must maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with Sika dress policy at all times.
  • Career advancement may require domestic and/or global mobility.

Vehicle/ Driver's License Requirements:


  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Must have valid driver's license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
  • Technical Service Representatives have responsibility for prudent care and protection of company assets.
