    Duration: Immediately – June 26, 2026
    Assignment: Grade 1 Homeroom
    Location: Eastbrook Elementary, Brooks, Alberta

    Job Duties

    • Provide a stimulating learning environment and deliver course material so each student can achieve growth and reach their potential.
    • Provide an educational environment based on the values of diversity, equality and inclusion.
    • Identify students' individual and collective learning needs for their age and grade.
    • Plan and deliver approved curriculum instruction in accordance with student learning and special needs.
    • Provide direct support and/or intervention as required to maximize student learning achievement and well‑being.
    • Work with the multi‑disciplinary team of student services professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress.
    • Ensure recommended personalized student resources and supports are implemented precisely to maximize student achievement and well‑being.
    • Guide and instruct student support staff so they can understand and respond to individual student strengths and needs.
    • Use assessment tools to evaluate and communicate student progress.
    • Meet with parents or guardians regarding the student's learning status.
    • Volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after‑school activities.
    • Attend meetings, seminars and in‑service training sessions.
    • Serve as a role model for students.

    Education & Certifications

    • Bachelor of Education from an approved institution.
    • Valid Alberta Teaching Certification.

    Required Documents (together with application)

    • Current cover letter and resume.
    • Contact information for three professional references (preferably educational).
    • Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) – must be submitted before the start date.
    • Undergraduate and graduate transcripts (if selected for interview).
    • Practicum and/or teaching evaluations (if selected for interview).
    • Examples of long‑range/year plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments (if selected for interview).
