Description

You will be expected to use your skills to slaughter and process livestock into smaller portions to facilitate handling; and work on deboning, cutting, trimming meat products, and preparing commercial cuts and products as needed.

• Using stunning devices and knives.
• Skin, clean, and trim carcasses; remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
• Split carcasses into smaller portions to facilitate handling; and may slaughter cattle, calves and sheep as prescribed by religious laws.
• Cut beef, lamb or veal carcasses, sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing, or packaging.
• Remove bones from meat, and cut meat into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or other wholesale use.
• Trim and remove the skin, excess fat, bruises or other blemishes from carcasses or meat portions.
• Prepare special orders, Cut, or prepare meats to specification or customer's orders.

• Clean work areas and equipment and commit to sanitary and safety.
• Sharpen and adjust cutting equipment
• Weigh, wrap, and display cuts of meat
• Receive meat deliveries and inspect them to ensure they adhere to the highest quality standards and are not expired.
• Timely attendance and execution of assigned duties.
