Company Description
As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for analyzing chemicals from various sources according to our established procedures.
What you'll do
- Conduct experiments to achieve satisfactory characterization of products while also ensuring effective usage of resources
- Initiate the analysis of products daily with integrity, accuracy, and efficiency within expected timelines
- Create Analytical Result Records in a high quality, accurate and timely fashion
- Interpret and report analysis results in accordance with applicable procedures while adhering to strict guidelines of documentation and reporting
- Basic depth of analysis to interpret basic nonconformance results arising in NMR, MS, HPLC/GC, and CHN results due to bulk impurity and/or mishandling
- Analyze data obtained and identify outofspecification (OOS) results
- Participate in routine maintenance and calibration of instruments
Qualifications
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of NMR and MS and analytical methodology and separation techniques
- Solid knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and time management
- Very good analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Selfstarter; task oriented with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good at handling stress and exceptional organizational skills
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry or similar technical program with an emphasis on analytical chemistry
