We are currently looking for a
permanent
Planning Coordinator Supervisor to join our Regional Operations team.

Accountabilities:

As the Planning Supervisor, you will ensure the safe and effective utilization of Planning Coordinators and Customer Planners for the planning requirements and electronic scoping of excellent electric service to customers.

You will ensure Nova Scotia Power's standards for customer service are met or exceeded by utilizing a skilled workforce to complete scoping and planning activities in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

As the successful applicant, you may be required to work throughout the province based on the business requirements.

You will be responsible for the safety performance of the business unit by following the safety programs, conducting accident investigations, and ensuring that employees work safely, and the public is protected.

You will establish a mutually supportive working relationship with other field supervisors, regional and business administration support groups, external business contacts and planning/scheduling workgroups.

The Planning Coordinator Supervisor will maintain good labour relations and employee morale by identifying training and development opportunities; ensure vehicles and tools are properly operated and maintained; maintain a current knowledge of rates, regulations, policies, procedures, practices, standards, and collective agreements.

You will assist in the preparation of budgets and financial projections and will implement cost control measures. You must be available for rotational supervisory standby.

You will be responsible for personal safety, that of co-workers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.

What skills will make you successful?
The successful applicant will be detail oriented, have strong computer skills, and the ability to multitask. They will have strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers are a requirement of this position.

A high energy, self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment who possesses strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills will be a fit for this position.

You have Grade XII education or equivalent. You must possess a valid driver's license.

Knowledge of the work management and scheduling system processes, electrical overhead and underground distribution operations would be as asset.

The successful applicant must be adaptable to change and a self-motivated individual who is committed to optimizing the work management and scheduling processes.
