The Job and Responsibilities:
Powerlink Solutions Inc. is hiring a Project Manager.
In this role, you will perform services related to managing several customer project orders of moderate size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage several electrical projects and ensure projects fall within budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
- Monitor the execution of the customer project order, verifying execution of the project through kickoff meetings, communication to all parties and exchange of technical requirements and information.
- Work with team to create project schedule.
- Maintain the project schedule and communicate with the customer to ensure expectations are being met
- Coordinate with third party vendors (Hydro / ESA)
- Work with customers on coordinating planned power outages
- Plan, communicate, and manage project risks
- Solve problems and resolve project issues to deliver positive customer feedback and improved relationships
- Review SLD (Single Line Diagrams) of customer site to ensure accurate resource allocation.
- Writing and sumbittals of MOP's (Method of Procedure).
- Schedule and attend site meetings and conference calls to answer technician questions and review scope.
- Track deficiencies and recommendations from inspections and work with sales to provide quotations.
- Submit, track, and process applicable change orders
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform all job functions safely and healthfully, abiding by and by all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Experience, Education and Requirements:
Electrical Trade certificate or post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Electrical P Eng., CET or Journeyman Electrician license 309A an asset
A complete understanding and ability to read project drawings and specifications.
Possess an understanding of the Canadian and Ontario electrical codes.
At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience
Excellent communicator, decision maker
Strong leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively
Proficiency in MS Office
A valid G class driver's license with clean driving record
On site service (maintenance/testing/Thermography) experience an asset
Additional Skills Set:
Excellent time management, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Must work well in team environment as well as independently
Safety focused.
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
Salary:
$60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
