    Engineering Manager – Waste to Energy Program

    Your impact

    As Engineering Manager for the Waste to Energy (WTE) Program, you will serve as the single point of accountability for all technical, design, engineering, and permitting activities supporting the client in delivering a world-class Waste to Energy facility. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality control, coordinate technical reviews, and collaborate closely with Program leadership to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.

    Role Summary

    You will oversee planning, coordination, and oversight of engineering requirements; manage multidisciplinary teams; ensure adherence to Jacobs' Quality Management System; drive integration across workstreams; mitigate risks; and support a culture of innovation, safety, and inclusivity.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead all technical, engineering, design, and permitting activities.
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary Jacobs teams, subconsultants, and contractors.
    • Ensure quality management across all engineering deliverables.
    • Conduct and coordinate technical reviews across disciplines.
    • Integrate cross-functional workstream efforts and manage interfaces.
    • Identify resource needs and opportunities for acceleration and efficiency.
    • Mitigate technical and program risks proactively.

    Qualifications

    • Engineering degree in infrastructure, industrial processing, or energy & power.
    • 20+ years of experience in complex process and/or energy infrastructure projects, preferably Waste to Energy.
    • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary design teams across all engineering phases.
    • Strong quality management expertise for engineering deliverables.
    • Ability to influence risk understanding and mitigation.
    • Strong communication skills for translating engineering concepts to non-engineers.
    • Demonstrated interface management across civil, process, mechanical, electrical, I&C, grid, and O&M.
