Our Toronto team is seeking a Building Operator to ensure that our building is being managed and maintained in a safe, presentable, and environmentally friendly manner.

A passion for fast and friendly customer service is a must as this role will be dedicated to providing "white glove service" exclusively to two key tenants.

This person will work closely with a dedicated Tenant Services Coordinator to ensure all of the needs of these two key tenants are addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

_Operations_:

Assist with setting up small events, minor furniture moving, hanging pictures and outsourcing for fine art.
Escort contractors for key tenants. Assist contractors in the completion of required tasks. Obtain estimates and quotations for proposed work in the building as required.
Immediate response to calls to triage further requirements, building comfort adjustments, ordering of supplies for key tenants as required.
Actively participate in energy management practices for all mechanical and ventilation systems.
Provide tour and inspection reports on an ongoing basis. Support maintenance of and ongoing improvements to WHMIS and environmental health and safety programs

_Maintenance_:

Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping conditions are fully observed to only the highest standard.
Minor fixing of building equipment and assessing for further followup by outside resources. Basic repair and adjustments to doors and hardware.
Maintain clean and tidy work spaces and mechanical rooms; maintain a safe, respectful work environment and report unsafe conditions.
Monthly fire extinguisher inspections, janitorial inspections, change lightbulbs where possible. Outsource specialty fixtures.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance using Angus PM system.
Perform demand maintenance and repairs to required fans, pumps, etc. as required.
Ensure that all Corporate OH&S Policies, Procedures and Programs are implemented and strictly followed, including Environmental, Sustainability, and Property Management Policies and Procedures

_Documentation _:

Manage tenant work order requests using the Angus TR system while ensuring tenants are satisfied with building operation matters

QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ years of experience in commercial property management operations
Strong knowledge of Building HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, BAS Systems and Life Safety Systems.
5th class power engineering license or BES certifications
Valid drivers license
A highly collaborative & teamoriented personality as we all work closely together, and problem solve together
A handson mechanical and electrical professional with strong troubleshooting skills
Passion for sustainability and energy management
