Coltan Security Services is looking for a Security Guard Supervisor to provide security services to local businesses within Spruce Grove, AB.

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for protecting the property and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The Security Guard will observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances, as well as act to prevent unauthorized access.

Other duties include;

  • Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a secure and safe environment
  • Protect property and assets by implementing security measures and protocols
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security threats
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, such as accidents or medical emergencies, promptly and appropriately
  • Investigate and report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering the premises
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
Skills we're looking for;

  • Loss Prevention: Knowledge of techniques and strategies to prevent theft, vandalism, or other losses within a facility
  • Law Enforcement: Understanding of laws, regulations, and procedures relevant to security operations
  • Surveillance: Ability to effectively monitor and observe activities using surveillance systems or other tools
  • CCTV: Familiarity with closed circuit television systems for monitoring and recording activities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid security license
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Valid First-Aid Certificate
  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
