Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records
- Prepare and package medications for distribution to patients
- Perform medication inventory management and stock replenishment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries from patients and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and technology
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Medication administration: Proficient in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and safely.
- Patient care: Skilled in providing excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries, and ensuring patient satisfaction.
