Summary:


The Assistant Campus Manager (ACM) supports the Campus Manager, teachers and students to ensure the academic quality and smooth operations of all Tamwood Language Centres and Tamwood Career programs.


Key Responsibilities:


Academic

  • Help conduct weekly orientation and placement testing for new students and ensure accurate placements in classes for Vancouver students.
  • Help orient and support new teachers.
  • Help ensure coverage for classes when teachers are absent and/or teach as required.
  • Respond to student/BDM inquiries as needed.
  • Carry out other related duties as required.

Operations

  • Manage intake forms for various campus services, programs, and events.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of intake forms.
  • Collaborate with the campus manager to streamline intake processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide general administrative support to the campus manager.
  • Help maintain accurate and uptodate campus records, files, and databases.
  • Collaborate with other campus staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination of administrative tasks.
  • Help ensure we are running the correct number of classes at the correct levels depending on student registrations and confirm teacher schedules.
  • Assign new students to classes in SM and copy class lists weekly. Move students up when teachers recommend move ups. Print class lists for select staff and post class lists weekly on 3rd floor.
  • Print grad documents weekly for students provided they meet grad requirements or supervise the assistant tasked with the job.
  • Type survey results every 6 months.
  • Keep book inventory and communicate when stock is low.
  • Help with classroom assignments for all classes keeping in mind class sizes and classroom capacities.
  • Attend weekly grad ceremonies in student lounge for all classes.
  • Conduct regular GC audits (ensure students are added/removed as needed and make sure teachers are uploading class materials to GC)
  • Create letters of enrolment upon request
  • Set up trial lessons based on BDM requests.
  • Forward student vacation requests to Registrar and save academics when necessary.
  • Help ensure student files are PTIB compliant.
  • Carries out other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • University or college education
  • Proven experience in administrative or office support roles.
  • Ability to work in a pressurized, fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to use MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team with other departments.

  • Monday to Friday

  • Whistler, BC V8E 1B8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
