Thurston Machine is a world class manufacturing facility located in Port Colborne since 1915. We are currently seeking General Labourer's to work at our facility.Position Overview:
The primary role of the General Labourer is to complete tasks assigned by the Production team while operating in a safe and efficient manner.
Major Responsibilities
- Daily tasks may include grinding & detailing, material handling, blast and paint preparation, or other daily tasks assigned by supervision.
- The safe operation of the internal transport equipment
- Administrative duties including job reports, time cards, etc.
- Upkeep of equipment and carrying out required "startup" checks, etc.
- Reading and interpretation of working instructions etc.
- Adherence to health and safety requirements
- Care in lifting, and moving of materials, parts, etc. to protect back and limbs
- Maintaining a safe and responsible working style for self and other workers
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$16.00-$22.00 per hour
