POSITION: Mechanic- Licensed Millwright
Full Time Permanent Position

SHIFT: 12 hour rotating every 2 weeks between days and nights
LOCATION: Cambridge, ON
INDUSTRY: Heavy Industrial – 24/7 operation

POSITIONS SUMMARY:

The licensed millwright will be responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of all plant machinery. This plant runs 24/7 and is a continuous process environment. It is in the heavy industrial sector the company provides materials used in a variety of industries

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust all mechanical equipment in the plant.

· Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done.

· Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.

· Advise when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.

· Assemble or align gears, bearings and shafts, involving press, sliding and running fits, align pumps, motors, turbines and gear reducers.

· Responsible for performing assigned maintenance work on large and small producing units.

· Operate power driven mobile equipment and ordinary crane hooking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright – 433A) as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades

· Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.

· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC's welding, crane work.

· Strong communication and work ethic, ability to work in a team and with other trades.

· Basic computer experience a must.
