***: As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a vital role in coordinating and executing select marketing campaigns while providing valuable administrative support. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, your efforts will contribute to engaging diverse audiences, raising awareness, and driving attendance to ROM. In this multifaceted position, you will handle tasks such as database management, copywriting, digital advertising, web content management, and coordinating advertising promotions.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate and execute small marketing campaigns throughout the year, ensuring seamless production and distribution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Specialists, providing valuable assistance and support when needed.
  • Work closely with advertising agencies, freelance designers, and inhouse teams to coordinate impactful print and digital ads.
  • Support the coordination of marketing contests and promotions, ensuring smooth processes and collaborating with external partners.
  • Conduct comprehensive research, develop marketing databases, and implement the distribution of print and electronic materials.
  • Manage Google Ads campaigns, ensuring strategic planning, accurate information, and optimized performance.
  • Create and update engaging ROM website pages.
  • Assist in the coordination and act as the primary contact for smaller marketing campaigns, including crafting compelling copy and organizing feedback for agencies or internal designers.
  • Write, edit, and proofread internal department ads, ecommunications, and promotional materials.
  • Organize and provide support for photoshoots, creative production installations, and marketing activations.
  • Perform general office functions, including preparing reports, creating impactful presentations, and managing digital files.
  • Manage supply inventory for the Marketing & Promotions department.
  • Screen and respond to general Marketing department correspondence and inquiries.
  • Schedule and manage divisional and marketing meetings, handling all aspects of setup and taking minutes as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Completion of three (3) years of postsecondary training/education or equivalent experience, with a focus on business or marketing (3year program) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years but less than three (3) years of relevant experience, including marketing and administration functions.
  • Proficiency in Google Ads and Analytics, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience organizing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns. Experience with YouTube is a valuable addition.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey ideas and maintain professionalism even in highpressure situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • French language skills are an asset, enhancing your ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Experience or familiarity with marketing a cultural institution is considered a valuable asset.
