DUTIES:
Specific to position:
Understand and adhere to regulations pertaining to Housekeeping
Monitor and report Health and Safety Issues
Read and follow policies and procedures; participates in the QI program; attends inservices
Follow Job Duty Outlines and work within guidelines
All other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate
REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrates safety consciousness by maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Able to maintain a good attendance record
Must be able to complete entire shift standing
Must be able to repeatedly bend, turn push and pull during shift
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and push/ push with 80 lbs of force
Previous housekeeping experience an asset
Must be able to operate all housekeeping equipment and machines
Must understand and follow all policies and procedures set out by Extendicare Assist and governing Ministry bodies (i.e) Retirement Home Authority
