    The Opportunity

    Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Shop Technician to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As the Shop Technician you will be responsible for meeting the service-related needs of our loyal customers.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    As a Shop Technician your key responsibilities will include:

    Diagnose and complete all repairs in a timely manner, while providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
    Communicate with the Dispatcher or Chargehand, ensuring they are up to date on the status of each repair
    Work closely with the Parts department to identify and order parts required
    Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, including parts shelves, workbenches and shop bays

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

    High-school diploma
    Relevant Provincial trade certificate is an asset (Canada)
    Valid driver's license required
    Previous material handling mechanical experience is an asset
    Strong computer skills
    Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
