Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy


As our Shop Hand you will be responsible for general facility up-keep, maintenance and organization of equipment, vehicles, and materials.

Primary duties will be cleaning and washing equipment.

This role is based out of
Leduc, Alberta.

The Team


In this role, the individual responsible for general facility upkeep will play a crucial part in maintaining a cohesive and efficient team environment by ensuring that equipment, vehicles and materials are well organized and maintained.

Their primary duties of cleaning and equipment washing contribute to operational efficiency and support the team in meeting accelerated production demands and special project requirements.


Work Environment
This is a full-time opportunity working in a shop environment.


A Day in The Life

  • General facility upkeep, maintenance, organization and washing of field equipment.
  • General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck.
  • Loading and unloading trucks picking up or delivering supplies.
  • General assembly work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools.
  • Inspection of all assembly parts and reporting of defective material or questionable component conditions to management.
  • Aiding the facility manager with overall plant operations.
  • Assisting with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated.
  • General housekeeping of the facility and other general labour duties as required.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED
  • Previous steam, mobile, truck washing or shop laborer experience.
  • Previous Forklift/ Bobcat/ Crane experience would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift 50lbs for extended periods of time.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and customer service
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Selfmotivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines.
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills.
