Overview:
The Payroll Manager is responsible for performing Payroll-related duties on a professional level and

works closely with both management and non-management team members. The position pays

employees and compiles payroll information by managing payroll preparation; completing reports;
maintaining records. co-ordinate, direct and control payroll processing and distribution.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of payroll staff
  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
  • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Monitor the payroll and direct the preparation of payroll related documents
  • Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data. oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
  • Performance manage and develop payroll staff as needed
  • Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearend reports
  • Prepare and review payroll account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate account balances
  • Review and improve payroll policies and procedures
  • Oversee the maintenance of current employee data systems
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Process payroll checks for Team Member
  • Interpret new legislation impacting payroll
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Indepth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing
  • Managerial/supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal rules and laws
  • Solid financial acumen
  • Proficiency in relevant payroll and accounting software
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
