BDO's Client & Market Intelligence practice and its services are designed to listen, analyze, and package objective market data and client insightâ"across a number of key industries and macroeconomic trendsâ"to complement BDO's business strategy, pursuit and delivery efforts.


Role Description
Based in the GTA, the role of the Market Research & Data Analyst is to provide leadership in the delivery of strategic insights into industry and macroeconomic trends in the Canadian economy and ultimately lead and/or support the development and design of communication solutions (i.e. data visualizations) to enhance research deliverables.

Furthermore, you'll be a part of supporting A.I. driven technology innovation programs that are advancing the way people use, interact with and consume data.

Working with a direct team of like-minded research specialists and creative talent, you'll have access to the collaborators, tools and technologies to advance tomorrow's best ideas.

The Client & Market Research Analyst reports into the Client & Market Intelligence Lead.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Identify business challenges and conduct research to support solution development.
  • Understand and communicate business issues effectively, enhancing audience comprehension.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of AI trends and leverage opportunities with adjacent technologies and services.
  • Have a general understanding of the Canadian market and industry trends.
  • Use data to craft insightful reports and narratives tailored to project needs.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Participate in innovation programs to uncover new opportunities.
  • Develop and refine a variety of compelling communication materials.
  • Collaborate with national industry and service line teams on key projects.
  • Commit to project deadlines and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
  • Work cooperatively, demonstrating initiative and the ability to coordinate tasks.
  • Engage in strategic collaboration across different organizational levels.

Your experience and education

  • Minimum 2 years in a business analysis, strategy, marketing, or research role.
  • Proficient in data analysis (e.g., Python, R, Excel)
  • Proficient with PowerBI (DAX queries and functions)
  • Strong quantitative research, analytical, interpersonal, and problemsolving abilities.
  • Capable of storytelling with data, both in writing and verbally.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects with a strong focus on client service.
  • Quick and accurate work ethic with a keen eye for detail.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to influence.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment. French language proficiency is a plus.
