Job Summary:


You will be a key member of the product team that is responsible for setting and executing your product's business strategy.

You will leverage your business acumen, industry expertise and market data to execute product strategies that delight customers and sustain revenue growth for the future.

You will discover, analyze and solve transit market problems through frequent engagement and observation of your customers.

Using verified market data, you will produce a product vision, communicate and evangelize that vision to your customer and stakeholders, and execute the strategies to make that vision a reality.


Job Description:


What You'll Do:

  • Identify market opportunities by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of stakeholders to drive product decisions
  • Synthesize information gathered to develop a market driven product strategy and manage its execution
  • Develop, communicate and execute a multiyear product strategy that goes far beyond today's technology portfolio that is responsive to industry needs and surpasses competitors
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to drive bookings and revenue within company by ensuring solutions are responsive to clients' needs and able to be launched, deployed and supported successfully and efficiently
  • Manage the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution
  • Act as product evangelist both internally and externally
  • Balance longterm investments in enabling technology and vision with shortterm product requirements; including when to build vs. buy vs partner, or change from one technology to another
  • Identify, analyze and manage technical debt with your product
  • Measure and manage product quality
  • Analyze key performance metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements
  • Deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders of all levels of an organization
  • Facilitate objective Win/Loss Analysis of deals
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product
  • Analyze and keep abreast of trends in technology and your market

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working in a b2b product management role for a technology company
  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Business or Engineering
  • Effective presentation ability to influencers, senior executives, and industry audiences
  • Experienced in Software Development Life Cycle methodology (SDLC)
  • Experience in waterfall, agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within North America
  • Must have the ability to travel between and to Canada and the US with appropriate travel documents, passports, etc.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a customerfacing role within the transit technology industry
  • Web, Mobile and SaaS product management experience a bonus
