THE JOB:

Physician Health Outreach Manager (12 Month Contract)**The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.


Starting Salary Range:
$80,067 - $100,083


Reporting to the Vice-President of Physician Health, the Manager, Physician Health Outreach supports the objectives of the Physician Health Program by coordinating and implementing physician health promotion initiatives among partner organizations in the province with a strategic interest in the health and wellbeing of physicians; this including other departments within the Doctors of BC, Joint Collaborative Committees, Health Authorities, Divisions of Family Practice, and Medical Staff Associations.

Key priorities include socializing the PHP through presentations and strategic communications, developing educational resources, and managing the Outreach budget. This position also manages the Senior Administrative Assistant by both assigning their duties and facilitating their professional development.

The Physician Health Outreach Manager is responsible not only for developing a framework to measure success (mutual awareness, coordination, and collaboration) but also for planning and carrying out activities to achieve it.

The role can be based in any city within BC. Travel throughout the province may be required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A graduate university degree and/or a recognized professional designation in a specialized field, and up to six years of progressive experience; or having an equivalent level of related work experience inlieu of postsecondary education.
  • Public engagement training, project management and change management training and experience is an asset.
  • Detailed knowledge of health regions, current issues and trends is required, and experience working with health authorities, facilities and physicians is preferred
  • Comfortable receiving nominal direction from department leadership regarding strategy and related objectives and activities on initiatives and projects.
  • Experience leading complex and adaptive change, including implementing and coordinating provincial initiatives
  • Strong problemsolving skills at both operational and strategic level with ability to integrate knowledge from several disciplines or areas of expertise
  • Considerable research & analytical experience in completing projects and initiatives
  • Proven ability to work with diverse groups with differing interests and mo
