    Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000

    Who you are

    Reporting to the Manager of underwriting, the Underwriter is responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of financing applications received by Driven. You will be conducting thorough analysis to help evaluate all credit risks associated with an application and make approval/decline decisions within your authority limit to protect the company and capitalize on opportunities to grow the loan portfolio. Responsibilities include data entry, evaluation bank statements and in-depth investigation of credit risks associated with the business, owner(s) and cosigner(s).     What you will do

    • Process financing applications by performing due diligence;
    • Verify and analyze credit data and bank statements to determine the degree of risk involved;
    • Analyze other reports and documents (including tax forms, site visit reports, ownership registry confirmations, property ownership confirmations, and business lien records) to ensure the application packages are completed for each client;
    • Collaborate with the customer success and the sales teams to address missing documentation or information;
    • Conduct deep investigation online and using third-party tools available validate background checks;
    • Communicate with Treasury department for guidance when necessary

    What you will bring

    • Post secondary degree in any related field is a must;
    • Experience in a similar role is an asset;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Experience working in fast paced environments;
    • Results oriented and hungry for success;
    • Bilingual (spoken and written) in French and English;
    • Looking for a challenge at rapidly growing company;
    • Knowledge of Salesforce, MS Outlook, Excel (pivot tables/ v-lookup) is considered an asset.
