Summary


A line cook is responsible for the preparation of food, ingredients and plating of menu items for service to our guests.

A line cook ensures that the food quality and presentation is maintained and assists in the tracking of prep levels and inventory.

William Beasley Enterprises Ltd operates Centreville Amusement Park, Far Enough Farm, Carousel Café, events, and bars on Centre Island.

Job Duties

  • Prepare complete meals or individual dishes for our guest.
  • Operating various kitchen stations such as salads, grill, fryers and ovens.
  • Follow recipes for dishes to company standards
  • Ensures workstation and kitchen area is clean at all times
  • Follow safe food handling procedures
  • Communicates with cooks, and servers on timing of plate service.
  • Portion, assemble, wrap food or place directly on plates or take out containers.
  • Keeps track of inventory and reports when stock is low
  • Performs opening and closing duties for kitchen area
  • Reports maintenance issues to manager

Requirements:


  • At least 1 year restaurant kitchen experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on team
  • Food handlers or cooking certification is an asset
  • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends

Compensation:


  • Ferry Card Transportation provided
  • Staff discounts on meals

Job Types:
Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
$15.50-$17.31 per hour
