    Intent of the process

    The intent of this process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill a term position (1 year) with the possibility of extension ( Dalhousie, Québec). This process could also be used to staff EN-ENG-03 positions of various profiles and durations within the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

    In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

    EDUCATION
    ED1 : Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution in civil engineering or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

    AND

    ED2: Current certification as a professional engineer in Canada with a specialization in an engineering field related to the duties of the position.

    *The term degree refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

    EXPERIENCE
    EX1: Significant experience* in planning and managing civil or maritime infrastructure construction projects**.

    EX2: Experience negotiating and managing conflicts with various stakeholders.

    EX3: Experience in the design of works or infrastructures in the field of civil or marine engineering.

    * "Significant experience" means experience of at least three years acquired within a period of the last eight years.

    ** Project management refers to: the identification of project objectives, needs, risks, planning and monitoring of budgets and schedules.
