What is the Opportunity?

What will you do?

  • Monitor, on a daily basis, bid sites for relevant opportunities (MERX, etc.) and disseminate to relevant Principals and Associates within the firm.
  • Handling the credentials and proposal development process from start to submission. Includes reviewing and interpreting client RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements, coordinating with engineers, and building envelope specialists to customize content, preparing, and drafting the pitch, coordinating schedules and deadlines, design and production of the material, and coordinating the delivery of the final product.
  • Review credentials and proposal drafts and final versions to ensure accuracy and proof all pitch materials for grammar and compliance with firm writing style.
  • Compile and maintain project experience data, including case studies, professional CVs, and descriptions for inclusion in credentials and proposal materials.
  • Develop PowerPoint or other similar materials to support client pitches and interviews.
  • Track pitch and proposal activity.
  • Followup with engineers and building envelope specialists to track all data related to credentials and proposal success.
  • Contribute to knowledge database and proposal preparation library by identifying reusable proposal content and materials.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Diploma or degree (business, marketing, or communications).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working within a proposal or BD team is required.
  • Professional experience preferably working in the Architecture, Construction, or Engineering space considered an asset.
  • Experience working on complex bids in the public considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint, as well as InDesign and working knowledge of the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience preparing responses to RFP/RFI/RFQs and customized pitch books and presentations preferred.
  • Good judgement and problemsolving skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Stellar client service skills along with the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as external parties.
  • Ability to effectively deliver quality work under tight deadlines and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks.
