SUMMARY


The Capital Planning Data Coordinator is a dedicated resource for assigned client(s) responsible for data integrity of capital planning data and for coordinating capital planning activities.

Asset Management Database

  • Maintenance of the Asset Management Database as a result of portfolio investment (completed projects):
  • Reporting and production of asset database requirements to internal and external team members (programmed list of assets).
  • Enters and maintains asset condition assessment and capital project information within capital planning database.
  • Generates portfolio summary reports utilizing asset management software.
  • Tracking all incoming data sources related to capital planning (consulting reports, BCA schedules, leasing, and other data sources).
  • QA review of the Building Condition Assessment Data through reviews of asset condition assessment data for reasonability. Identifies anomalies for review.
  • Loading of the Building Condition Assessment Data into asset database.
  • Coordinates asset condition assessment workflow to support timely completion of assessment activities.
  • Working with Building Condition Assessment project manager to track status and report outputs to stakeholders.
Building Condition Assessment Data

  • Responsible for the coordination and tracking of building condition assessment data:
  • QA review of the Building Condition Assessment Data through reviews of asset condition assessment data for reasonability. Identifies anomalies for review.
  • Loading of the Building Condition Assessment Data into asset database.
  • Coordinates asset condition assessment workflow to support timely completion of assessment activities.
  • Working with Building Condition Assessment project manager to track status and report outputs to stakeholders.
Training End Users

  • Trains end users on asset management software.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • University degree or Community college diploma in a relevant field such as civil, mechanical, electrical engineering building science or building engineering, an asset.
  • 1 to 3 year of coordination work experience, preferred.
  • Experience with commercial asset management software systems, an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to review data for reasonability and to identify anomalies.
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of activities along with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for the purpose of conveying data anomalies, coordinating workflow activities and providing assessment software end user training.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

Accreditation to work in specific assessment management software, an asset.
