About the role

As a Communications Advisor at Graham you will:

  • Create communications plans and initiative-based plans following Graham's communications standards and brand standards, and align with our corporate strategy.
  • Lead and/or produce required materials to support communications plans, such as key messages, audience assessments, project narratives, purpose statements, toolkits and articles.
  • Provide communications advisory services to corporate service functions and business leaders, and develop strategies for internal communication initiatives.
  • Partner with our corporate services to understand their business objectives and develop and implement communications plans, including compelling content curation and creative collateral development.
  • Manage the implementation and execution of highquality and timely communications plans that take into consideration various timelines, including initiative schedules and a broader corporate communications calendar.
  • Support initiatives by providing communications expertise in planning and execution, using an audiencefocused approach and strong project management skills.
  • Define internal client expectations/requirements and identify appropriate communications channels/tactics and measurements for success.
  • Prepare, edit and proof materials, presentations and key messages for business communications across various channels.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and challenges that require proactive communication.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across corporate and operational teams.

Qualifications/Experience

  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism is required.
  • Certification in a related discipline (IABC or CPRS) is an asset.
  • 57 years of relevant experience in a medium to large organization employee base).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an advisory communications role focused on developing and executing communications plans.
  • Strong, professional relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to influence decision
- making

  • Exceptional writing and proofreading skills and close attention to detail.
  • Experience with geographically diverse organizations.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is an asset.
