A Powerline Technician is expected to discharge the responsibility of and to practice fully his/her trades qualifications.
A Powerline Technician reports to a staff supervisor or delegate. Responsibilities
Perform standby duties as assigned.
Assist in training new employees, apprentices and employees in lower classifications.
Perform duties normally carried out by a lower classification. Requirements
Holder of a Journeyman Powerline Technician Interprovincial Certificate or a Lineman Trades Qualification Certificate.

Be familiar with and experienced in electric utility transmission and distribution systems, protective and safety devices and their clearances and isolating procedures.

Holder of a valid Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement. Additional Information
