ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES ASSISTANT

STUDENT SERVICES

Reporting to the Manager, Accessibility, the Accessibility Services Assistant provides a full range of administrative support to the Accessibility Services team.

This position manages several processes that are key to the experiences of students with disabilities at NorQuest, including processing intake surveys and creating files for new students in Sharepoint.

The Accessibility Services Assistant acts as the face and voice of NorQuest for learners requiring accommodations, conducting phone intakes, and supporting student case management.


HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- provides a full range of administrative support to the Accessibility Services Unit
- manages several processes that are key to the experiences of students with disabilities at NorQuest, including, but not limited to, processing intake surveys and creating files for new students. This position also conducts phone intakes when required and plays a role in student case management.

  • Represent Accessibility Services to groups that are touring the campus
  • Process inquiries from students, employees, and business partners; while maintaining standards of confidentiality and privacy in accordance with the College, FOIP, student records, and any other protected documentation.
  • Developing administrative timelines and coordinate information submission and distribution points
  • Completing institutional forms and contracts independently and accurately
  • Reviewing proposals and contracts for spelling, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
  • Provide administrative support for Assistive Technology and Accessibility Advisor processes
  • Represent Accessibility Services in tours and program orientations.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field (e.g. Social Sciences).
  • 1+ years' related experience.

SALARY:
$42,099 - $52,745 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) and includes immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
