Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of the Change Management Office and Global HR Services by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


Key Accountabilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Design and implement change management strategies that support large, complex initiatives under the guidance of the Senior Manager
  • Lead endtoend change management activities and processes for small to medium scale initiatives or for specific change management workstreams within a large project
  • Support planning and execution of change management tactics including awareness, communications, training, readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement etc.
  • Partner with GHR teams, and other key stakeholders to assist with the development and deployment of change management strategies
  • Develop, research, and prepare content for internal audiences using various formats and internal communications channels
  • Other ad hoc project work as required from time to time.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Experience / Education:


  • 3+ years of related experience, primarily in project and change management, communications
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Communication or related discipline
  • Keen sense of storytelling, paired with superior writing and editing skills. Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally, easily switch between creative writing/storytelling and tactical writing
  • Strong knowledge of Change Management and industry trends
  • Track record of supporting strategic project and change plans that drive measurable business results
  • Strong presentation skills, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills are essential
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships across many diverse stakeholder groups including Senior Executives
  • A positive attitude, a desire to learn, a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get work done either independently or as part of a team
