Reporting to the Clinical Manager - Chronic Pain Management Program & Project ECHO (the "Manager"), the Engagement Lead - Regional Coordinated Access Project will take the lead in planning and conducting engagement to conduct and analyze a current state assessment of referral processes utilized by Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) programs/organizations in the North West Region.

Analysis of the findings will identify gaps and support the development of a regional plan for coordinated access, which will integrate with the Provincial Coordinated Access Model (in development).

This will include building relationships with local and regional organizations and MHA partners and developing a work plan to achieve the program vision of ensuring fair, equitable and timely access to services.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience:


  • Postsecondary qualifications in health or human services

Skills/Abilities:


  • Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to think and act strategically in a healthcare sector environment
  • Ability to improve effectiveness and efficiency through the management and utilization of human, financial, and physical resources
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations, information sessions, and education modules to groups using language appropriate to the audience
  • Team player with the ability to influence and persuade
  • Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
  • Ability to work independently, interdependently, and participate as a contributing member of a variety of teams within the workplace, community and ministries/agencies to meet program goals and objectives
  • Flexible with the ability to manage changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to identify referral barriers, conceptualize improvements, and engage in interviews with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to effectively communicate and collaborate with community agencies, leadership teams, OSP regional and provincial teams and Service Delivery Sites partners
  • Skills related to preparing presentations and the ability to connect with the target audiences
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Passionate about contributing to coordinated access and commitment to improving access to MHA services for clients in NWO
  • Competent within the meaning of the _Occupational Health & Safety Act_

Assets:


  • Experience with virtual care technology (i.e. Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), Webex, etc) is an asset
  • Knowledge of the current state of the MHA systems navigation is an asset
  • Experience with project management is an asset

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions

  • Will be required to travel to various work locations throughout Northwestern Ontario and provide own reliable transportation
