Faced with the challenges of rural care delivery, WPSHC has partnered in regional alliances and created internal programming solutions that have benefited patient care and improved services throughout the catchment area.
Today, our uniquely integrated health care organization includes Lakeland Long Term Care, six Nursing Stations delivering care to rural communities, management of District ambulance services and dispatch, and a full range of in-patient and out-patient programs associated with a 90-bed acute care hospital.

About the Opportunity
WPSHC has eight openings for Primary Care Paramedics in Parry Sound EMS, reporting to the Manager of Emergency Medical Services.

More About You
To qualify for the role, you will need to have met all requirements and qualifications as prescribed in the Ontario Ambulance Act.
You will also need to have:
Extra skills certification obtained through Base Hospital;
A demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a Primary Care Paramedic, including the lifting of excessive weight;
A demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education and upgrading of skills;
Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references;
Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs.
