We are looking for an experienced Human Resources professional who will be responsible for managing and maintaining positive relationships between our company and its employees.

In this position, you will be expected to develop and implement human resources and employee relations policies and procedures, handle employee grievances, and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.


Your role will be critical in ensuring a productive and engaged workforce, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a positive work environment.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources and labour relations strategies including policies, programs and procedures to address the organization's human resource requirements.
  • Partner with senior management to develop and execute employee engagement initiatives.
  • Advise on the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation and benefit programs and collective agreements.
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues including investigating and resolve employee complaints and grievances.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
  • Monitor and analyze human resource trends and recommend proactive measures to address issues.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with hiring new staff, onboarding and oversee training programs.
  • Manage employee discipline and performance improvement processes.
  • Manage programs and maintain human resources information and related records systems
  • Research employee benefit and health and safety practices and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certification in Employee Relations or Human Resources Management (asset)
  • 34 years work experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Experience in conflict resolution and mediation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience handing confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Experience in employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights for improvement
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Equivalencies will be considered._

Position Information:


  • Fulltime opportunity, temporary for one year

Salary:
Negotiable based on education and work experience.
