Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team.
As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.Your duties are not limited to and will be changed as needed.
Requirements:
- Current certifications such as Construction Safety Officer or NCSO and/or OFA
- Experience with COR certification is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Proficiency in health and safety practices is essential.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software.
- Ability to work flexibly and effectively under pressure.
- Advantageous to possess valid Safety, TCP, and Machine operation tickets.
- Minimum Level 2 First Aid certification required.
- Familiarity with safety code regulations.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships.
- Effective time management, task prioritization, and responsibility delegation skills.
Qualifications:
- Advantageous to have previous experience in first aid within the construction sector.
- Possession of a Certificate in traffic control (Flagging) is beneficial.
- Preferred technical comprehension of the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification in the workplace.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct surveys or feedback sessions to gather input from customers regarding their safety and service experiences.
- Implement customercentric safety measures, such as clear signage and accessible emergency procedures, to improve the overall customer experience.
- Obtaining COR certification for the company.
- Providing guidance to management regarding health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Investigating workplace incidents and accidents, and formulating preventive measures.
- Performing health and safety audits to ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
- Delivering training sessions to employees on health and safety protocols.
- Maintenance of records and documentation related to health and safety initiatives.
- Keeping abreast of changes in health and safety legislation.
- Regular review of organizational health and safety policies and procedures, and suggesting enhancements.
- Monitoring the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conducting workplace inspections to enforce health and safety regulations.
Schedule:
Rotating shifts as per weekly schedules, including weekdays and weekends.
Salary:
$64,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
