YouTube Channel Idea Researcher (Ongoing | Explainer Channels)
I manage multiple explainer-style YouTube channels and I'm looking for a sharp, detail-oriented researcher to take over one of the most critical parts of my workflow: generating data-backed video ideas.
- What You'll Do
This isn't brainstorming, it's a research-driven process:
- Identify popular content formats used by successful explainer channels
- Find viral or trending topics within specific niches
- Combine format + niche to craft compelling video titles
Back every idea with data:
links to real YouTube videos with ~100k+ views that validate the format and topic
- Organize everything in a clean spreadsheet for my review
- Who I'm Looking For
- Has experience with YouTube research, content strategy, or channel growth
- Knows how to use YouTube search, 1of10, or similar tools to spot trends
- Understands what makes explainerstyle content perform
- Is thorough: every idea must be supported with real examples, not guesswork
- Communicates clearly and meets weekly deadlines consistently
- Deliverable
A weekly spreadsheet containing:
- Video title ideas
- The format used and why
- The niche targeted
- Supporting YouTube links (100k+ views)
- This is an ongoing role with room to grow.
